Holocaust Centre of Greater Toronto
The Holocaust Centre is committed to memorializing the victims of the Holocaust and educating the community-at-large about the dangers of antisemitism. As part of its critical mandate, the Centre hosts more than 20,000 students from across Ontario every year - most of them non- Jewish - to learn the lessons of the Shoah and meet with survivors. Many of the survivors also travel far and wide to acquaint public school students with one of the most horrific periods of human history. The Centre, which is responsible for the world-renowned Holocaust Education Week, also offers consulting services on Holocaust education programs in the public school system.
